History

On April 1, 1980, Dick Corey and Mark Bowie decided to open Twin Bay Auto Glass. They began by renting the back half of Traverse City Frame and Axle at 525 1/2 W. Front Street, Traverse City, Michigan

In 1983 they built an office in the back to separate the work area and provide comfort to the customers. In 1983 they opened a second location in Charlevoix. In May 1985, they moved to offices in Traverse City to the front of the building and left the back for workspace. They were running out of space as the business grew.

They changed the name in 1985 to Twin Bay Glass, Inc., dropping the word "auto" from the name to reflect the expansion of the glazing division. In 1997, a third location was opened in Kalkaska. Twin Bay Glass has grown rapidly from a company of two employees to a company of thirty employees!

Twin Bay Glass is now the only full service glass company in northern Michigan. Since 1980, we have been developing a wide variety of services to cover almost any kind of glasswork there is.
